Print your trip itinerary on paper or save it as a PDF to take with you on the road.
Printing Your Trip
To print your trip:
- Open your trip in TripDeck.
- Click the Print button in the top toolbar, or press Cmd + P on macOS (Ctrl + P on Windows).
- A live print preview opens. Toggle any print options you want included or excluded in the top toolbar.
- Click Print / Save PDF. Your browser's print dialog will open where you can choose your printer or select Save as PDF.
What's on the Printed Page
The printed trip gives you a clean, paper-ready schedule formatted for readability:
- Flight & Train Times: Shows departure and arrival times, flight and train numbers, confirmation codes, and other notes.
- Airport Arrival Times: Displays recommended arrival windows (for example, "Plan to arrive by 6:15 AM") for flights.
- Hotels & Activities: Lists addresses, check-in times, and reservation details.
- Notes & Links: Any website links in your notes are printed out in full so you can read them offline.
Customizing Print Options
When you open the print preview, a toolbar at the top lets you toggle specific sections on or off to tailor what gets printed:
- Cost: Show or hide item prices and cost breakdowns.
- Confirmation #s: Include or omit booking and reservation confirmation numbers.
- Notes: Include or omit custom notes and links attached to itinerary items.
- Addresses: Display or hide street addresses and station/airport location details.
- Ideas: Include or hide unscheduled ideas listed under individual days or the trip-level ideas section.
- Packing List: Include a checklist of your packing list items.
- QR Code: Include a scannable QR code on the cover to quickly reopen the itinerary in TripDeck.
- Map: Include an overview map with pins for all your trip stops.
Privacy for Shared Trips
When viewing a shared trip in read-only mode, private details (such as costs, confirmation numbers, private notes, ideas, and packing lists) are automatically hidden and excluded from print options.
Tips for Printing
- Turn on Background Graphics: In your browser's print settings, making sure "Background graphics" is selected can help ensure day headers and badges print correctly.
- Save to Your Phone: Save a PDF copy to your phone or a reading app so you can check your schedule on a plane without WiFi.
